Description
A big acoustic with an even bigger voice - these Jumbos are downright awesome & are known for delivering rich, powerful tones with incredible sound projection. This gorgeous, natural J-200 from '96 is no exception & a definite must-have for any serious player. Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case!
Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused, with good honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some mild finish wear. There's an ever so tiny crack in the soundhole near the pickguard that's quite superficial. What's really cool about the guitar is how the natural finish has aged marvelously over the years & turned into a gorgeous golden color. The flame figuring in the back & sides looks absolutely gorgeous underneath that golden finish. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl crown inlays. Frets show only a tiny bit of wear & have tons of life in them. Gibson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Jumbo size body with multi-layer top & back binding. Solid spruce top with multi-ring rosette. Rosewood 'mustache' bridge with rosewood end pins & mother of pearl inlays. Large tortoise pickguard with floral motif & mother of pearl dot inlays. Some of the white floral motif has worn off from play wear. Solid flame maple back & sides showing off some gorgeous figuring. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 5 lbs 1.1 oz.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
