Introduced alongside the Gibson Flying V in 1958, the Gibson Explorer traveled where no man had gone before and past every guitar design that came before it. Over 60 years later the Gibson Explorer is utilized by artists of all genres making it one of the true classics of the guitar world. The Antique Natural finish, all mahogany slim taper set-neck construction with rosewood fingerboard provide incredible classic looks, sound and playability. A special set of calibrated Burstbucker 2 (neck) and Burstbucker 3 (bridge) pickups provide that perfect mix of volume, tone and power.
Cosmetic Condition: Marvelous condition - very clean & still like new with only some mild surface scratches. There are a couple of extra screw holes in the bass-side of the body from previous strap buttons.
Neck: Slim Taper mahogany neck with white side-dots. 12" radius rosewood fingerboard with acrylic dot inlays. 22 medium jumbo frets in great shape with no wear. Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners work perfectly. 1.69" nut width; 24.75" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Solid mahogany body finished in Antique Natural. Aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece & Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge with chrome hardware. 4-ply white pickguard & black jack plate. The original jack was replaced & there's a tiny crack in the jackplate, but everything fully functions. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 8.1 oz.
Electronics: BurstBucker 2 (neck) & BurstBucker 3 (bridge) with black bezels & chrome covers. Dual volume & master tone controls with black speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with its original accessories kit.
