Description
What’s special about this guitar: This is a great sounding, excellent playing Gibson Chet Atkins guitar. Features include a bound spruce top, contoured mahogany body, super comfortable mahogany neck with an Ebony fingerboard and a gorgeous sounding pickup! This guitar sounds phenomenal for classical, fingerstyle and Country alike. The neck shape makes it highly versatile for all of these styles.
Condition: Good shape overall! There are various minor scratches, nicks, dings, dents and chips throughout the guitar. There are some very small finish cracks mainly throughout the top, all of which are minor and merely cosmetic. There is a very small gap at the back of the bridge from string tension. This gap is very minor, is not pulling further up and is not affecting playability at all. The fingerboard and frets are in great shape with only very light play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck is very comfortable with excellent action and the truss rod functions perfectly. There is just a touch more relief on the bass side but the playability is great. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid contoured mahogany body with a bound spruce top in natural finish. Rosewood bridge with an ivoroid saddle, sound hole cover with Gibson Chet Atkins logo and a gorgeous rosette.
Neck: Wide and nicely rounded mahogany neck with an Ebony fingerboard. White dot fret markers and a 2” nut. Slotted peg head with three-on-a-strip tuners and ivoroid buttons. 25.4” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Active piezo pickup system with master volume and tone controls.
Weight: 9lbs, 7.5oz.
Case: Includes the original hardshell case. The case is a little beat up with some tears in the covering and some separation between the back and sides but all the latches are working fine.
