Description
This limited edition model started with the American Elite Telecaster as a base, so it boasted the Elite appointments like a compound-radius fingerboard, a compound "C"-to-"D" shaped neck, contoured neck heel & unique truss rod adjustment wheel. From there it gets supercharged with an interesting HSS pickup configuration. One of the most popular mods for a Telecaster is to put a Stratocaster pickup in the middle position. But this middle pickup is no Strat pickup. Instead, it is a Tele bridge pickup mounted in the middle position at the same angle it would be in the bridge position. In addition, a Fender ShawBucker humbucker is mounted directly to the body. A five-way switch gives you all the pickup configurations of a Strat & the S1 switch allows you to add the neck pickup in positions where it's not normally on, so you can engage the standard Tele bridge & neck pickups at the same time, or all three at once. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action!
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition - very clean with only some mild surface scratches.
Neck: Compound C to D shaped maple neck with with compound radius maple fingerboard & black pearloid dot inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Fender locking tuners & single string tree. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Contoured, solid ash body finished in Antique Cherry Burst. String-thru bridge with stainless steel adjustable saddles. 3-ply black pickguard has a tiny crack near one of the bass-side screws. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 2.2 oz.
Electronics: HSS pickup configuration with 5-way selector switch. Tele single coils in the neck & middle positions with Shawbucker in the bridge. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs & S-1 switching in the tone knob. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
