Description
Condition: This is a great playing bass with a great playing neck and plenty of resonance. There are scratches, nicks, dings, dents and chips throughout the instrument. There are some larger impact dings and dents throughout the sides, some buckle rash on the back and plenty of pick scratches on the pickguard. Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear with heavier play wear towards the lower registers. The neck is very straight and the truss rod functions fine. The original pickup has been replaced with a Seymour Duncan and the pots have been replaced with 1965 CTS pots. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid contoured double cutaway ash body in a gorgeous blonde finish. String-through-body design with nickel bridge with two adjustable saddles, aged nickel bridge and pickup covers, aged control plate with knurled control knobs, a single-ply white pickguard and a wood thumb rest.
Neck: Maple neck with skunk stripe down the back, maple fingerboard, black dot inlays and a 1 11/16” nut. Open-gear nickel tuners, 34” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Seymour Duncan single-coil pickup with master volume and tone controls.
Pickup: 6.15K Ohms.
Weight: 9lbs, 1.0oz.
Playability/Sound: This is a great sounding bass. The pickup position allows for a punchy sound with the tone all the way up. With the tone control rolled off a bit, the pickup warms up very nicely. Overall this bass offers a very round, full sound with plenty of sustain and resonance. The aged parts really give this bass an awesome vintage feel and vibe. Combined with the beautiful blonde finish, this bass has tons of character!
Case: Includes unoriginal hardshell case.
