Description
This is a super cool and underrated bass from Fender. The JP-90 was only built from 1990-1995 and features both a P-Bass and J-Bass pickup, allowing any combination of the two, making this bass a very versatile instrument. It's a super tricked out Jazz Bass that holds true to the late 80s and early 90s where it originated. These killer hybrid full scale basses were produced in limited quantities. The letters JP stand for a Jazz and Precision hybrid; it has a pickup from each, one offset and one straight. This bass plays, and sounds fantastic. In stock and ready to rock!
Cosmetic Condition: This bass is in great shape considering it's nearly 33 years old. There is a strange finish blemish on the upper bout near the upper waist on the bass side. There is a decent amount of surface scratches on the front and on the pickguard. There is a decent amount of 'buckle-rash' on the back of the body. None of this affects the playability of the instrument whatsoever. It has various little nicks, dings, scratches, etc., associated with typical playwear.
Neck: This bass is fitted with a 1-piece maple neck with a skunk stripe, and a rosewood fretboard with white dot position inlays. The neck is straight, and the truss rod works perfectly.
Body: This bass features a solid poplar off-center double-cutaway body with a black pickguard. This bass weighs an astonishing 7 lb. 4.8 oz.
