Fender's Custom Shop Limited '62 Stratocaster is a blast from the past, nearly indistinguishable from a well-gigged, well-loved vintage guitar. With its trio of hand-wound "Bone-Tone" Strat pickups, comfortable rift-sawn maple neck, and gorgeous Aged Aztec Gold finish, this Strat will take you right back to the glory days of rock 'n' roll.
This Custom Shop '62 Stratocaster features a two-piece select alder body that delivers that instantly recognizable Fender 'spank' - punchy mids, clear, beaming highs, loads of sustain - that spank. Its Journeyman Relic treatment gives it that desirable vintage look and feel, complete with light checking, dullish hardware, and moderate playwear, and its Aged Aztec Gold finish is a work of art in itself.
Players will love this Custom Shop's rift-sawn '60s Oval "C" shaped maple neck, which feels nice and comfortable in hand, measuring 0.81" thick at the 1st fret and 1.00" thick at the 12th. Its worn back is nice and smooth, creating an excellent playing experience, and its compound radius fingerboard allows for easy riffin' across all 21 narrow tall frets.
Powering the Custom Shop Limited '62 Stratocaster is a trio of Custom Shop hand-wound Master Design "Bone-Tone" Strat pickups that provide a dynamic Strat tone with tight lows and chiming highs. These pickups have increased headroom and clarity when playing with overdrive, making them perfect for players who love adding a little crunch to their sound. And, courtesy of the 1/2 blender wiring, which lets players blend the neck pickup with the bridge pickup in positions 1 and 2, this Custom Shop is much more versatile than your typical Stratocaster.
Complete with a Custom Shop vintage synchronized tremolo, vintage-style tuning machines, a genuine bone nut, and a "wing" string tree with metal spacer, this Custom Shop Limited '62 Stratocaster is the perfect guitar for folks seeking a premium vintage-inspired Strat.
