Fender Custom Shop's 1959 Telecaster Custom is an absolute stunner. It has a striking vintage look that's brought about by a Super Heavy Relic job that shows realistic play wear throughout its body and hardware. Its thick binding and three-ply white pickguard really make the guitar's relic job and Faded Aged Chocolate 3-Color Sunburst finish stand out. Plus, its nitrocellulose lacquer-finished 5/4 quartersawn maple neck and two-piece ash body give this Tele a great combination of sturdiness and playability, with striking woodgrain figuring in the flame maple. Its AA Flamed Maple neck comes with a '59 Large "C" profile, giving players a more substantial neck feel than your usual "C" profile, and thanks to its relic'd neck back, you get a smooth, satisfying playing experience up and down its 9.5" to 12" compound-radius AAA rosewood fingerboard. A Tele '58-'63 string-thru bridge, Vintage-Style Fender logo tuners and knurled dome knobs further this 1960 Telecaster's vintage authenticity. This Tele Custom's set of pickups is quite remarkable as well, with two tried-and-true hand-wound single-coil pickups: a Twisted Tele neck pickup for extra bite and output when you need it, and an Original Black Guard (OBG) bridge pickup for more traditional Tele twang. Every aspect of this Fender Custom Shop Telecaster Custom has been pored over in great detail to deliver a satisfying playing experience with authentic vintage specs and undeniable relic'd vibe.
