Description
Some guitars are instantly recognizable for being significant and the Butterscotch Telecaster is easily one of those guitars. This Baja Tele has everything you could want with vintage inspired looks that come with modern playability and features. The S-1 switching also offers an even larger tonal palette to a guitar known for versatility.
Condition: This Tele is in excellent condition overall. There may be some light surface scratches in the paint and some play wear on the pickguard, but is otherwise in fantastic shape for a guitar that's nearly 20 years old. The frets show only light wear and still have a full lifetime of playing left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Single cutaway ash body in that classic Butterscotch finish. Single-ply black pickguard. Non-original chrome bridge with 6 saddles. Fender Custom Shop Designed neckplate. Chrome knurled control knobs. Guitar weighs 7 pounds 12.1 ounces.
Neck: Mix of soft V and C shaped maple neck, reminiscent of the underside of a boat, and maple fingerboard with black dot inlays. Vintage-style tuning machines and 60th anniversary badge on the back of the headstock. Single string tree that has been moved from one location to another. 1 11/16" nut width. 25.5" scale.
Electronics: Custom Shop Twisted Tele single-coil in the neck and Custom Shop Vintage-Style Tele single-coil in the bridge. 1 x master volume w/ S-1 switch and 1 x master tone control. 4-way pickup selector (offers combined pickups in both series and parallel).
