Description
What makes this guitar special? This Les Paul Tribute Plus sounds, plays, and looks equally fantastic. The ’57 Classic and ’57 Classic Plus pickups sound great individually and even better together with some volume. The Plus top has beautiful figuring which is further complemented by the Trans Blue finish. The 1960s SlimTaper profile plays with ease up and down the neck. In addition, outside of some light surface scratches, this guitar is clean and looks the part. It even has a bit of aging on the binding which adds an element of classic charm.
Condition: This Les Paul 1960 Tribute Plus is in very good condition overall. There are a few light surface scratches throughout the body and neck from light playing, but otherwise the guitar is in great shape head to toe. The neck plays easily nut to cutaway and the truss rod is functioning as it should. The frets show only a little wear and still have a ton of life left in them.
Body: Mahogany body with a bound, carved, hard maple top. Locktone Tune-o-Matic bridge with a nickel Stopbar tailpiece. Cream trim rings and switch plate. Gold speed knobs with dial pointers.
Neck: 1960s SlimTaper profile mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays and 12” radius. 24.75” scale. 1.68” nut width.
Electronics: Gibson USA ’57 Classic Humbucker in the neck and Gibson USA ’57 Classic Plus in the bridge. 3-way pickup selector, 2 volume, 2 push/pull (series/parallel) tone controls.
Weight: 9 lbs
Playability/Sound: The 1960s SlimTaper profile on this guitar plays great up and down the neck. The ’57 Classic and ’57 Classic Plus pickups have a good amount of chunk and drive, yet with a classic throwback sound.
