Description
What makes this banjo special: This banjo was designed for guitar players who want to take advantage of classic banjo tone without having to learn new chords and positions. It is incredibly easy to play and the neck is as comfortable as a standard acoustic or electric guitar. The body is considerably lighter than a full-on banjo as well, weighing in at just under seven pounds. The way the tailpiece is designed allows players to use traditional loop end strings as well as ball end strings, which is far less limiting than having to find one or the other in a pinch.
Condition: This instrument is in very good condition overall. It shows only minor nicks, dings, dents, scuffs, scratches, and minor hardware tarnish but is otherwise in great shape for a used instrument. It does have a chip in the headstock but it does not affect playability or functionality of any parts. The frets show only light wear and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Closed-back cream-bound mahogany resonator with one-piece flange/rim. Remo 11” head. Maple and rosewood bridge. Covered strings-through tailpiece.
Neck: C shape mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays and dotted Dean logo in the 12th. Chrome sealed tuning machines and chrome buttons. 1 11/16” plastic nut.
Weight: 6 lbs 14.5 oz
Playability/Sound: The C shape neck plays incredibly easy and will be a comfortable transition for any guitar player. The sound is punchy with good upper midrange body and decent volume.
Case: No case included.
