What makes this guitar special: This is a fantastically versatile bass in amazing condition for a used instrument. Its intriguing spalted maple appearance, neck trough construction, and active electronics can suit any genre and playing style imaginable. The Bartolini pickups have plenty of low end, but still maintain a definition and clarity that many players find desirable. The 3-band EQ and dial in a large variety of tones, meaning that it will sit in the mix just right. Plus, it has been professionally set up by our in-house tech, it is guaranteed to play great right out of the case.
Condition: The bass is in excellent condition overall. It does possess some very light surface scratches in the common playing areas, and a few miniscule dents and dings, but is extremely clean for a used instrument. Some of the black nickel on the bridge has worn off. The frets show some very light play wear but are in great condition with tons of life left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions perfectly.
Body: Double cutaway, contoured, neck-through construction with mahogany wings and spalted maple front and back caps. Black Nickel Hipshot Trans Tone Bridge.
Neck: 5 piece laminated maple and wenge C shape neck through design (.85” at the 1st fret, .87” at the 12th fret). 24 fret rosewood fingerboard with offset abalone dot inlays and white side dots. Black Nickel Hipshot open geared bass tuners. 1 9/16” nut width. 34” scale length.
Electronics: Bartolini Active Bass pickups. Active 3 band EQ. Master Volume, Blend knob, EQ on/off toggle switch.

Playability/Sound: The C shaped neck is very comfortable and easy to play, with a narrower nut similar in feel to a Jazz Bass neck. The electronics are where this bass really shines. The 3-band EQ allows for precise tone shaping, and the Bartolini pickups provide plenty of punch to suit any style and genre of music.
