The Traditional Series or "T" guitars represent an exciting vintage-inspired tonal variation on the distinctive Collings sound, designed & crafted to showcase the most desirable characteristics present in coveted pre war instruments. Bracing & tone woods are adjusted for weight & thickness to create a voicing characterized by warm, rounded highs & a present low mid-range, while retaining a quick attack & strong projection. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall - very clean with some mild surface scratches.
Neck: Honduran mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl diamond inlays. Frets are clean with practically no wear. Stained Exotic Ebony headstock veneer with mother of pearl Collings inlay. Waverly nickel tuners with Butterbean buttons & diamond volute. 1 3/4" nut width with bone nut; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod functions perfectly.
Body: Double-bound dreadnought body in natural high-gloss finish. Solid Sitka spruce top with herringbone purfling. Tortoise pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Ebony bridge with compensated bone saddle. Ivoroid bridge pins with black dot inlays. Solid East Indian rosewood back & sides with "zipper" center strip. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 10.1 oz.
