Description
An interesting F-style mandolin with lots of floral body carvings & fingerboard inlays. Over the top ornate is probably the best way to describe this mandolin. Despite being an Asian import, it does have quite a nice voice to it & plays rather well.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall & very clean.
Neck: 5-piece neck with what appears to be mahogany, walnut & maple. Rosewood fingerboard with ornate floral inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Ornate headstock inlays with 3-dimensional floral motif. Gold Grover mini tuners in perfect working condition. 1 3/8" nut width; 13 1/2" scale length.
Body: Dual F-holes with bass-side scroll & two treble-side points. The body appears to be some type of mahogany & the top is solid with mother of pearl purfling. Both the top & back feature intricate floral engravings painted green & red. Rosewood tailpiece with floral inlay & floating rosewood bridge. Mandolin weighs 3 lbs 7.1 oz.
Electronics: Passive pickup with 1/4" endpin jack.
