Description
What makes this guitar special? This is a killer playing Strat that will likely soon be harder to find due to Mayer’s recent split from Fender. The pickups sound awesome in all five positions and provide a welcome variance from the traditional set of single-coils equipped in most standards. It boasts quite a few unique features including a ‘50s style headstock logo, an easy-playing satin finish neck with a custom C shape and the Mayer signature factory installed 5-spring trem without a back plate. In addition, this guitar is very clean and after the setup our techs have given it, plays as good as it looks and sounds.
Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall. Outside of some light surface scratches and a few small dings here and there, this guitar is super clean and looks fantastic. It even still has the original pickguard plastic and tremolo arm hole sticker. The frets show almost no wear whatsoever and still have a full lifetime left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Double cutaway solid alder body in 3 Tone Sunburst. 4-ply tortoiseshell pickguard. White plastic knobs. American vintage synchronized tremolo bridge with adjustable saddles. Factory installed 5-spring trem w/ no back plate.
Neck: Satin finished custom C shape maple neck and 9.5” African rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays. Buffed headstock with vintage ‘50s logo decal. 21 Dunlop 6105 frets. 1 11/16” nut. Vintage-style tuning machines. Signature on the back of the headstock.
