Description

Since its 1986 debut, the Jackson Dinky has dominated the world of rock and metal guitar. With its slightly smaller body, deep double-cutaways, and crushing humbuckers, the Dinky is a tried and true shred machine. This made in Japan '98 DK2 Dinky carries on the legacy of brutality and aggression that the Dinky is synonymous with, and it's a truly outstanding axe. If you've been on the hunt for a well-crafted guitar that delivers an exceptional array of crunchy, growling tones, look no further than this Jackson DK2.

Cosmetic Condition: This guitar is in very good condition for its age. It has a few minor dings on the body, but the hardware looks great and the neck is blemish-free. Plus, the sleek black finish and matching headstock give it some serious attitude.

Neck: The DK2 has a bolt-on maple neck that feels thin and flat, perfect for fast shredding and lead playing. Its bound rosewood fingerboard feels sleek and smooth, and its pearloid sharkfin inlays give it a classic aesthetic. All 24 jumbo frets are in great condition with no wear, the neck is nice and straight, and the truss rod works perfectly. This particular model features an ultra-cool reverse headstock.

Body: An alder body gives the DK2 its bright, punchy tone with pronounced upper mids, loads of sustain, and a sharp attack. High-gain players will love its Floyd Rose bridge and locking nut, which allows for screeching divebombs, deep vibrato, and massive whammy bar abuse. Weighs 7 lbs. 3.3 oz. and the trem arm is included.

Electronics: This axe has a pair of Jackson humbuckers that are surprisingly versatile. While they excel when pushed to their limit, churning out snarling, biting sonic mayhem, they can easily be tamed with the neck pickup selected and the tone rolled down. With a 3-way pickup selector, a master volume, and a master tone control on board, this DK2 can adapt well in any performance setting.

Case: Ships with a Road Runner hardshell case. It has some dings, some wear, and a faded sticker or two, but that's what gives it all that rock 'n' roll mojo.
