Description
Coat your signal in layers of bit-crushed robotic doom with the Red Panda Bitmap 2. This stompbox uses fractional bit reduction and sample rate modulation to create a wide range of experimental digital distortions.
Redesigned from the original Red Panda Bitmap, this pedal features a slimmed-down enclosure that saves precious real estate on your effects board. It also boasts a new and improved interface with tons of tone-shaping potential. Since this pedal packs in so many powerful features and parameters, we'll go through a quick rundown of what's under the hood.
Adjusting the MIX knob blends in your affected signal, from 100% dry to 100% wet. The CRUSH knob lowers the bit depth from 24 bits to 1 bit and even includes fractional bit depth for limitless sonic versatility. Turning the FREQ knob changes the sampling rate from 48,000 Hz down to 110 Hz. Manipulating the FILTER knob adjusts the cutoff frequency of the 4-pole filter. The final two primary knobs, RATE and DEPTH, are used to alter the rate and depth of the LFO modulation. This stompbox offers an extensive tonal palette with additional controls for drive, waveshaping, envelope, and more.
Red Panda's Bitmap 2 unlocks an entirely new realm of sonic exploration. If you've been on the hunt for the most advanced digital distortion pedal on the market, you've just found it.
