Description
Made for only a brief period from about 1978 until '80, this super cool Magnum III is a rare bass indeed. Featuring all solid mahogany construction & fitted with a neck humbucker & bridge single coil for wonderful, dynamic tones. Professionally set up & ready to play upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear with a cool vintage vibe - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some light buckle rash.
Neck: Mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show a tiny bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Ovation open-back tuners in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 34 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body in natural finish. Top-loading bridge with adjustable brass saddles & two-ply black pickguard. Bass weighs 9 lbs 2 oz.
Electronics: Neck humbucker & bridge single coil. Dual volume & tone controls with 3-way toggle switch. Three pots date to '79 & one dates to '78. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. The case is pretty rough with various cracks, breaks & pieces missing. A portion of the far right clasp is missing. However, overall, it serves its purpose well.
