Description

This version of the ES-125 was made only for a brief period from about 1965 until 1970 & features a Florentine cutaway with a P-90 in the neck position. Acoustically the guitar has an earthy, woody tone to it, but plugged in, the P-90 really comes alive & delivers warm, rich, dynamic tones. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic!

Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear just the way we like them - various little nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & weather checking. Overall the guitar has a wonderful, authentic vintage vibe with a gorgeous patina.

Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Beautiful rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. One of the dots in the 12th fret appears to be newer. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Kluson Deluxe strip tuners in perfect working condition. 1 9/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is works fine.

Body: Double-bound, hollow maple body with Florentine cutaway & dual F-holes. Trapeze tailpiece with fixed ABR-1 bridge & nylon saddles. Tortoise pickguard with nickel & chrome hardware. Guitar weighs 5 lbs 12.5 oz.

Electronics: P-90 single coil neck pickup with black "dog ear" cover - 8.15K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs. All electronics are in perfect working conditon.

Case: Period-correct Gibson chipboard case with gold interior.
