Description
What's cooler than a Tele Thinline II? A black one of course! This gorgeous custom color beauty sports a pair of Wide Range humbuckers that deliver warm, rich tones that are both muscular & dynamic sounding. The semi-hollow Thinline body is very resonant & the silky smooth neck plays comfortably anywhere on the fret board. Tight neck/body connection. Professionally set up & ready for action straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear with that perfect true vintage look - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. Overall the guitar has an ultra cool vibe with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck & fingerboard with black dot inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Double string trees & bullet truss rod. F-logo tuners in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Semi-hollow northern ash body with single F-hole finished in Black custom color. String-thru bridge with unoriginal saddles. 3-ply pearloid pickguard has warped a little, but there are no cracks. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 13.2 oz. Yeah, she's a hefty one, but man - killer tone!
Electronics: Original Fender Wide Range humbuckers. Bridge - 10.75K ohms; Neck - 10.64K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs. 3-way selector switch with black "top hat" cap. Pots date to '72 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with original owner's manual. There's a cool '70s smiley face sticker on the outside of the case that we decided to leave one since it looked cool.
