Description

What makes this guitar special:  Finished in a rare Pelahm Blue, this stunning Olympic is 100% original & was recently acquired from the original owner.  An absolutely gorgeous, true vintage beauty, exemplifying everything that is cool about this guitar.  The blue finish has aged nicely over the years, "yellowing" into more of a light green color.  Even the white pickguard has turned to cream.  This exactly how we love our vintage guitars to look - all original, beautifully aged with good, honest play wear.  The single coils kick out rich, powerful tones, the lightweight body is very resonant & the slender profile neck is super comfortable to play up & down the fretboard.  Professionally inspected by the vintage experts at Cream City Music & set up by our own master luthier, so it plays perfectly.  This guitar is a definite must-have for any serious collector or player.

Cosmetic Condition:  Typical play wear for a guitar that's a half century old - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & finish wear.  No cracks, breaks or repairs.  Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.

Neck:  Slender profile mahogany neck that gets chunkier as you work your way up the fretboard.  Dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays & cream side-dots.  Frets show some wear, but still have plenty of life in them.  'Batwing' headstock with gold Epiphone script logo.  Kluson Deluxe strip tuners with cream buttons in perfect working condition.  1 9/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.

Body:  Asymmetrical, solid mahogany body with back contour.  Wrap-around, compensated bridge & nickel hardware.  Single-ply pickguard is in great shape with no cracks & still has the "E" emblem between the pickups.  Guitar weighs 5 lbs 14.1 oz.

Pickups:  A pair of single coils with black covers.  Bridge - 6.95K ohms; Neck - 7.13K ohms.  Dual volume & tone controls with 3-way toggle switch.  Black barrel knobs with silver inserts & red lettering.  The pot codes are a bit faded, but appear to date to '64.  All electronics are in perfect working condition.

Case:  Original gray chipboard case included.
