Description
First year SRV Signature Strat with what we believe to be a Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard - how cool is that! Some of the very first versions had Brazilian fretboards before switching over to Pau Ferro & this one certainly looks to be the case with gorgeous figuring & variegation throughout. This one is a superb player & in very clean condition. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall & very clean with only some mild surface scratches that don't really appear in photos.
Neck: Maple neck with Brazilian rosewood fingerboard & cream dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Vintage-style gold tuners with single string tree & SRV signature on the front of the headstock. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck stamp date reads March 16, 1992. This beauty is almost 30 years old!
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in 3-tone sunburst. Neck pocket stamp date reads Feb 12, 1992. Vintage-style lefty tremolo bridge with bent saddles & original trem arm included. SRV 3-ply black pickguard & trem cover. Gold hardware. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 0.6 oz.
Electronics: Three Strat single coils with staggered poles & white covers. Bridge - 7.49K ohms; Middle - 6.46K ohms; Neck - 6.27K ohms. Master volume & dual tone controls with 5-way selector switch. Pots date to '92 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original tweed hardshell case included.
