Description
What makes this guitar special: Considered by many to be the most playable iteration of any Vox guitar, these USA-made recreations are incredibly rare (less than 700 made total, and few very in the “coffin” body configuration like this one). Built and assembled in Minnesota from late ’98 to early ’00, these guitars are a phenomenal tribute to one of the most iconic brands of the ‘60s. This piece is in excellent condition, and comes with the original reissue zippered hard shell case. It has been professionally setup & inspected by our expert in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play!
Cosmetic condition: Excellent condition for a used piece, with only some light wear present. There are some light surface and handling scratches, along with some very minor tarnishing on the hardware and light pickwear on the guard.
Body: Coffin shaped solid poplar body in red finish with 3-ply white pickguard, adjustable bridge with roller saddles, and Bigsby tremolo tailpiece.
Weight: 7 lb, 12.7 oz
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with pearl side dots and pearl dot inlays. 1 11/16” nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Vox USA headstock logo. Vintage style tuners work great. Rosewood fingerboard is in great shape, and frets show almost no wear at all. Neck is straight. Wheel truss rod works great.
Electronics: Triple Gotoh single coil pickups (Neck-7.80k ohms, Middle-5.50k ohms, Bridge-6.40k ohms) with 5-way tone selector switch and individual volume knobs.
Case: Original zippered hard shell case included.
