Description

Cosmetic Condition:  Excellent condition overall - some minor nicks & dings; mild surface scratches.  There is a 2 pressed into the back of the headstock just above the serial number.  This indicates the guitar was a factory second when it was made.  Exactly what deemed it a second is nearly impossible to tell now, but there are no issues structurally or electronically with the guitar.  There are a couple of minor cosmetic imperfections in the body binding, so perhaps that was the reason.  Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a strong sunburst finish & a great playing feel.

Neck:  Slender maple neck with multiple binding.  Ebony fingerboard with abalone & mother of pearl block inlays.  Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear.  Bound headstock with mother of pearl inlays.  Gold Epiphone logo tuners in perfect working condition.  1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

Body:  Single-cutaway, carved spruce top with bound F-holes.  Maple back & sides with multiple binding on the top & back.  Frequensator tailpiece with floating adjustable bridge & 5-ply black pickguard.  Guitar weighs 7 lbs 15.5 oz.  A bit of the gold hardware has tarnished on the pickup covers.

Pickups:  MMK-75 humbucker pickups with great output.  Bridge - 8.43K ohms; Neck - 8.22K ohms.  Dual volume & tone controls with gold top hat knobs; 3-way toggle switch.

Playability / Sound:  Nice, low action - plays like a brand new guitar.  Warm, rich tone with nice response.

Case:  Vintage Gibson hardshell case included.
