Description
Description: Peavey EVH Wolfgang USA Electric Guitar
Condition: Very good condition overall. This is a top of the line model and is an earlier version with Edward Van Halen’s signature and the patent number on the back of the headstock. Various light surface scratches, and some small nicks, dings and dents throughout the finish. Fingerboard has light play wear, frets have light play wear and tons of life left in them. An allen wrench holder was added on the back of the headstock over the serial number, otherwise all electronics and parts are original and in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid basswood body with bound carved arched flame maple top in black cherry burst finish. Peavey licensed Floyd Rose bridge with D-Tuna, dual skirted control knobs.
Neck: Birdseye maple neck with birdseye maple fingerboard, black dot inlays and a 1 10/16” locking nut. Schaller tuners with ivoroid buttons, 25.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Peavey-EVH designed humbuckers in the neck and bridge with master volume and tone controls and a 3-way selector switch.
Neck: 15.48K Ohms.
Bridge: 13.31K Ohms.
Weight: 8lbs, 1.5oz.
Playability/Sound: This is a great example of the EVH Wolfgang guitar. The carved arched flame maple top adds an excellent type of attack and brightness to the overall sound while the basswood body provides plenty of warmth and sustain without being too heavy. The birdseye maple neck is beautiful, extremely comfortable and designed with fast, smooth playing in mind. The D-Tuna adds a little extra versatility to the guitar. Humbuckers sound great!
Case: Includes original hardshell Peavey case and vibrato arm.
