At its core, the Meris Hedra is a cutting-edge pitch shifter pedal. Featuring a key control and three different knobs that allow users to change the pitch of each voice, musicians can build huge harmonies or stack octaves for massive walls of sound. But that's not where the fun ends - with the ALT button engaged, users can change the time division of each voice using the pitch knobs.
On the bottom right side of the Meris Hedra is a set of buttons that control the pedal's delay circuit. With only Series activated, the Hedra will dish out a long delay with standard-sounding feedback. Turn off both buttons, and you'll get that same series delay effect, but now with pitch-shifting in the feedback loop for a more aggressive, synthy texture.
For stereo delay needs, the Meris Hedra has you covered. Press the Dual button, and you'll conjure two delay lines with their own feedback settings - it's a more conventional stereo delay. Press both the LEDs, and you'll hear echoes that bounce between the stereo channels.
Meris pedals are known for being jam-packed with studio-grade features, and the Hedra is no different. The alternate control for the Microtune knob changes the pitch-shifting behavior, enabling loose correction to keep your playing in key or strict correction to eliminate bends for metallic synth tones. Crank the Microtune knob while in its alternate setting, and the Hedra will smoothly glide between every interval.
