The biggest distinction comes in the pickups-Burstbucker 1 (neck) and Burstbucker 2 (bridge) humbuckers, left uncovered with striking Double Classic White bobbins. These pickups, hand-built in the Gibson Pickup Shop, use Alnico 2 magnets for a warm, dynamic response with a classic PAF-style character. They're hand-wired with audio taper potentiometers and Orange Drop capacitors, ensuring smooth volume and tone control with vintage authenticity.
The finish is another standout feature, with colors that offer a subtly faded appearance compared to Gibson's standard gloss nitro finishes. This gives the Double Trouble series a lightly aged aesthetic, reminiscent of a well-preserved vintage instrument. The burst patterns are individually hand-sprayed, meaning no two guitars are exactly alike.
True to its '50s heritage, this Les Paul features a solid, non-weight-relieved mahogany body with an AA figured maple top, delivering the resonance and sustain that made the model legendary. The 50s Vintage-style mahogany neck has a rounded profile, topped with a rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays, and 22 medium jumbo frets for smooth playability.
Classic Gibson hardware rounds out the package, including an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, aluminum stopbar tailpiece, Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, and aged gold Top Hat knobs.
