Description

The La Patrie Concert Classical Guitar has a solid cedar top and solid mahogany back and sides. It also features a mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard, a rosewood bridge with compensated saddle, gold "lyra" style tuners with pearloid buttons, and a semi-gloss satin finish. The La Patrie's Concert guitar is the top-of-the-line of their mahogany/cedar models.

The exceptional benefits of 800 year-old wood
The wood used in these tops can be found only in previously fallen cedar trees that have an average age of about 800 years or more. This wood features a tight straight grain, which produces greater rigidity while at the same time is flexible across the grain lines. This makes the La Patrie unique in terms of its goregeous tone.

La Patrie custom polished finish
LaPatrie guitars also feature a custom polished finish, similar to the French polish of the 19th Century. This finish allows the top not only to be protected but also to breathe and vibrate freely allowing the “aging” process to take its course. This “aging” process means that every LaPatrie guitar will actually sound better and better the more it’s played over time.

Classics that are comfortable to play
Classical guitars of the past have typically been made with thick neck dimensions, while this enhanced the neck's stability, it often made playing more difficult. Because of this, special attention was directed to the neck design of the LaPatrie guitars. Neck width and string spacing conform to classical standards, but La Patrie's truss rod system allows the profile of the neck to be reduced which produces a neck of extraordinary comfort, while increasing its stability. The LaPatrie necks are carved from Honduras mahogany.
