It's inspired by classic tape units like the Echoplex and Space Echo, giving you the character and quirks of real tape without the maintenance headaches.
With three straightforward controls-Mix, Tape Speed, and Repeats-you can shape everything from quick slapbacks to long, textured repeats. The Tape Speed knob adjusts the delay time like the motor on a vintage machine, and the Flutter toggle brings in a gentle modulation that mimics the natural wear of aging tape. The more repeats you dial in, the more it captures that lo-fi, degraded magic that made those old machines famous.
Built tough and designed for the stage or studio, the 3 Series Tape Delay is easy to work into any rig. Controls:
- MIX: Controls how much clean signal is blended in with the wet (delayed) signal; left is more dry signal, right is more wet signal
- TAPE SPEED: Controls the length of the delay effect from 15ms to 950ms
- REPEATS: Controls how many repeats occur after you play; left is less, right is more
- FLUTTER Switch: Down position is standard effect; up position introduces a mild modulation reminiscent of vintage units with mechanical wear
