The King V KVTMG features a solid mahogany body and a graphite-reinforced through-body maple neck, giving it resonant lows, cutting highs, and tons of sustain. It also sports a 12" - 16" compound radius bound ebony fingerboard and wrap-around neck heel, making shredding on all 22 jumbo frets a breeze.
This guitar sports a pair of active EMG humbuckers that spit out a versatile palette of volcanic tones. The EMG 81 ceramic pickup in the bridge position delivers plenty of snarl and bite, while the EMG 85 alnico humbucker in the neck position offers a thicker, more commanding voice. Experiment with the King V's 3-way pickup switch, master volume control, and tone control, and you'll find a stellar array of sounds suited for hard rock.
