Like the body, the neck on this guitar is incredibly comfortable. To make this neck perfect for a wide range of styles and players, Ibanez selected a very neutral shape for the neck profile. Not too thick and not too thin, this 3-piece roasted maple and bubinga neck is stable, durable, and an absolute joy to play. And with its heat-treated birdseye maple fretboard, this axe has loads of attack and sustain, making it perfect for high-octane shredding.
Powering this guitar is a pair of R1 single-coil pickups in the neck and middle positions and a Q58 humbucker in the bridge. These pickups work together to pump out a clear, defined tone with exceptional balance. The lows are thunderous but not muddy, the mids are nice and punchy, and the highs are articulate. These pickups are also extremely low noise, allowing them to work exceptionally well with both digital and analog effects.
