Working in collaboration with prolific guitar instructor Tomo Fujita, Ibanez built the AZES31 AZ Standard, a value-packed axe that's great for beginners and pro players alike. This guitar plays exceptionally well and features all the bells and whistles of a model twice its price, making it a tried and true workhorse.
When designing the AZES31 AZ Standard, Ibanez paid particular attention to their choice of tonewoods. Pairing a poplar body with a maple neck and a silky-smooth jatoba fingerboard, this guitar has a wonderfully balanced tone with a pleasant high-end 'snap' that breathes life and articulation into your playing. It doesn't just sound great, though - with its "C" shaped maple neck, 22-fret fingerboard, and deep double-cutaways, this guitar has a comfortable feel that'll make learning riffs easy and natural.
Ibanez wanted the AZES31 AZ Standard to be a guitar that players could grow with, so they equipped it with 3 single-coil pickups that cover a wide range of sounds. These pickups pump out a bright, full-bodied chime that sounds great for any style of music. It also sports a 5-way blade pickup switch so players can mix and match their favorite pickup combinations. One of the most remarkable things about the AZES31 AZ Standard is its dyna-MIX 8 toggle switch. With a flick of this switch, players unlock an entirely new set of tones to experiment with.
