Description: Hofner Sir Paul McCartney Limited Edition Union Jack Violin Bass Guitar Hofner Rep Sample
Condition: Used mint condition. This is a Hofner Rep Sample of the Paul McCartney Union Jack Violin Bass. There is one tiny ding on the entire instrument located under the fingerboard on the treble side by the body (see photos). The guitar is otherwise in mint condition. Fingerboard and frets are immaculate. All electronics and parts are original and in perfect working condition.
Body: Double-bound violin shaped body with spruce top featuring Union Jack British Flag finish and flamed maple back and sides in natural finish. Trapeze tailpiece, Ebony bridge with nickel saddles and the iconic pearloid control plate with dual cream control knobs.
Neck: Flame maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays, a zero fret and a 1 10/16” nut. Nickel tuners with ivoroid buttons, 30” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Hofner Staple Top pickups in the neck and bridge with dual tone controls for each pickup, ON/OFF switches for each pickup and a Rhythm/Solo boost switch.

Playability/Sound: This bass is designed to be a faithful reproduction of the bass Sir Paul McCartney played at the Queens Jubilee Concert. There were only 120 made with 60 staying in the United States. The bass offers authentic Hofner tone and is extremely comfortable to play. The spruce top with maple back and sides are a great combination with the hollow body design offering a full, warm sound without sacrificing attack or sustain.
