This is the G9200 "Boxcar" Roundneck Resonator from the Gretsch Roots Series. The Roots Series resonator guitars are some of the best values we've seen in this genre. Their modest price belies their great tone and excellent playability. The spider cone offers a very sweet and articulate resophonic tone with a full range sound. This makes the Boxcar a perfect fit for finger style and folk playing as well as blues slide work. You simply will not find a better resonator at this price. Features like a bone nut and European resonator cone set the Gretsch Roots series apart from other resophonics in their price range. We are a long standing fully authorized independent Gretsch guitar dealer. This is a brand new guitar and comes with the full Gretsch Limited lifetime factory warranty. Please give us a call if you have any questions about this guitar.
Though not included from the factory, we have hard cases for this model in stock and ready to ship along with your order. Please contact us for details regarding the cases we suggest for this instrument.
About the G9200 Roundneck Resonator (from Gretsch.com)
The miracle of volume! With its mahogany "long-body" design and comfortable soft-"V" neck, this faithful reissue of the 1930s classic sounds and plays like a million bucks. The vital feature of all Gretsch resonator guitars is the all-new Gretsch "Ampli-Sonic" diaphragm (resonator cone), which is hand-spun in Eastern Europe from nearly 99 percent pure aluminium and yields an impressive quality and volume of tone. Optional gig bag available (#099-6481-000).
