Created to honor Billy Duffy of The Cult, the Gretsch G8424T Billy Duffy Signature Falcon pays homage to Duffy's original "Sanctuary" Falcon but with modern updates that ensure a premium playing experience for today's performers.
The Billy Duffy Falcon features a laminated maple body with a Vintage White finish for a resonant tone and a clean, classic aesthetic. Parallel spruce tone bars enhance clarity and sustain, while an arched top and back boost its sound and stability. Gold sparkle binding with W/B/W/B purfling rounds out the body, cementing this guitar as a certified stunner.
Equipped with custom-wound Black Top Filter'Tron pickups in both the bridge and neck positions, the G8424T boasts a powerful, versatile sound. These pickups produce sparkling highs, glassy mids, and a tight low-end, making them ideal for everything from jazz to blues, from punk rock to pop. A three-position toggle and tone switch allow for quick tonal adjustments, while separate volume controls for each pickup and a master volume allow for ultra-precise tone-shaping.
For smooth playability, the G8424T features a 12"-radius ebony fingerboard, precision-rolled edges, and 22 vintage-style small frets (plus a zero fret), all atop a set-in maple neck with a comfortable "U" profile. Black side dots and pearloid Big Block inlays provide clear fretboard visibility, even in low lighting, while a bone nut enhances tuning stability and clarity.
With its Adjusto-Matic bridge, Bigsby B6GW tailpiece, Grover Imperial tuners, and gold hardware, this guitar is built for exceptional performance.
