A 2018 Gretsch G6199 Billy Bo Thunderbird Bass bass. The bass is essentially new with one minor cosmetic flaw. It has some light hazing/surface scratches on the top of the bass. Here for sale is the super cool G6199B Billy Bo Thunderbird bass in the classic firebird red finish. This is a very cool and unique bass with excellent tone and playability. It's basically the same concept as the G6128B Thunder Jet Bass but with a different finish and of course, the unique offset body shape. It's a heavily chambered mahogany back with a 3 ply maple top, which makes it very lightweight while offering a highly resonant tone. The sound is big, warm and woody, with plenty of punch and deep low end. The bass is well suited for many musical styles and the TV Jones Thunder’Tron pickup combination offers a really nice variety of tones. The long scale neck has a great feel to it and the action is very even all down the neck. This is an incredibly unique bass with powerful tone and eye-catching looks.
