This is the Gretsch G6134B Black Penguin. Back in the 50's & 60's Gretsch never made a "Black Penguin". In recent years the fine folks at Gretsch decided that the world was ready! Of the 1st White Penguins, very few were ever made and they continue to be one of the most highly valued vintage guitars. Vintage Penguins are indeed virtually unobtainable as the few that were made, are accounted for and residing in collections. But now you can have your own White Penguin, built to the modern standard of perfection that Gretsch is known for. Built to the 1st year Penguin specs, the new G6134 is all Pro series Gretsch with professional playability and fretwork combined amazing tone. This is top of the line pro series Gretsch material and it does not disappoint in looks or sound. The Dynsonics are excellent pickups that have a big round bass response and very clean and articulate high end while retaining authentic vintage character. The "G" Cadillac tailpiece and Synchrosonic bridge wrap up the package very nicely offering no frills perfect playability and classic looks.
