This is the G6129TL Sparkle Jet w/ Bigsby Tailpiece in the uniquely Gretsch Light Blue Pearl finish. This is a Jet constructed in classic 1960's styling complete with humbucking FilterTron pickups and Space-Control bridge. The Jet models from the Gretsch's Professional Collection are top quality guitars that have a look, feel and sound all their own since their introduction in 1953. The Jet can be considered a solid body guitar because it’s constructed of a solid mahogany back. However, due to a heavily chambered body and a 3 ply maple top the guitar retains some of the hollow body tone Gretsch guitars are famous for. Additionally, the heavily chambered design makes the guitar very lightweight and well balanced. The duo jet's play extremely well with perfect action and neck angle combined with an adjustable bridge. This particular Jet has the classic sound of Gretsch FilterTron pickups and a genuine Bigsby tremolo done with a Light Blue Pearl "Drum wrap" style top ply. The FilterTrons are bright and snappy with plenty of punch and sound great when played clean or with as much gain as you can throw at them.
