This is the G6128B Thunder Jet bass in the classic gloss black finish. This is a very cool and unique bass with excellent tone and playability. The body is the exact same as a professional series G6128T Duo Jet guitar. It's a heavily chambered mahogany back piece with a 3 ply maple top. This design makes the G6128B very lightweight and yields a very resonant tone. The sound is big, warm and woody, with plenty of punch and deep low end. The bass is well suited for many musical styles and the TV Jones ThunderTron pickup combination offers a really nice variety of tones. The 30.3” scale neck has a great feel with slim taper to it and the action is very even all down the neck. This is a B-Stock instrument and comes with the deluxe Gretsch hard case, all documentation and the Gretsch Limited lifetime warranty. About B-Stock:
This is a “new old stock” B-stock Gretsch guitar. The guitar is essentially new with a couple minor cosmetic flaws. It has a very small indentation in the back of the guitar as well as a small indentation on the neck. Both you can barely feel, so they don’t affect playability, and they only show in direct light. The guitar weighs 7 lbs 7.5 oz and the serial number is JT06063239, which dates the guitar to 2006.
