Description
This is the incredible G6120 Eddie Cochran Signature model from the Gretsch Professional Collection. Eddie was one of the 1st Gretsch players to “hot rod” his Gretsch and take it to the stage. This guitar recreates the original 1955 model that Eddie played and adds modern playability and dependability. The G6120 Eddie Cochran substitutes a Lindy Fralin "Dog Ear" P-90 pickup in the neck for the stock DynaSonic. This yields a little bit punchier midrange tone from that pickup. A less visual yet tonally important feature of this guitar is the "open" body design. This means the guitar does not have the post brace under the bridge, just the dual tone bars supporting the top. This makes for a livelier resonating top with the best woody twang you're going to get. This guitar is pure Gretsch quality with top notch fretwork and neck angle providing the perfect playability that the Gretsch Professional Collection is known for. If you're looking for truly classic looks and sound you must try this guitar! This is a brand new factory first guitar and comes with the deluxe Gretsch hard case, all documentation and the Gretsch Limited lifetime warranty. If you have any questions at all please feel free to give us a call!
