This is the all new and very cool Gretsch G5031FT Acoustic Electric Rancher dreadnought Model. This is a great guitar with a big sound and some classic Gretsch style. We should have known all along, but low and behold the FilterTron style pickup makes a fantastic acoustic guitar pickup. This is the "FideliTron" version of the FilterTron that has been used on a few fender models in the past few years. The acoustic sound of the guitar is big and bright with just a little boomyness and sounds great for flat picking and fingerstyle as well. The Fideli'Tron pickup yields a warm and resonant sound and has a great retro look. The guitar works just as well through a nice tube amp as it does though an acoustic amp or PA system. With a tube amp you can dial in a little bit of "grit" and achieve a fantastic twangy growl or you can keep it clean and get a really sweet tone with dense harmonics and thumpy bass. It's very different from the ubiquitous peizo sound so common with acoustic electric guitars. The guitar plays really well with great action and really comfy “c” shaped neck. This is a really versatile guitar with truly a unique looks and tone to match. This is a brand new factory first guitar that will ship with all documentation and full warranty.
