Description
Most guitars have one solid voice, but the incredibly versatile Godin xtSA has three. With three magnetic pickups similar to other traditional solid body electrics, the xtSA adds a twist by employing a humbucker / single-coil / humbucker configuration that provides a vast range of tones from meaty low end chunk to snappy and bright mid-range and highs; all of which are controlled by a 5-way switch plus volume and tone knobs for ultimate control. And that’s just voice one. Voice two consists of RMC transducer saddles that provide astonishingly authentic-sounding acoustic guitar tone. An on-board preamp and 3-band EQ boost and balance this feature respectively and add a highly-tunable element to this guitar’s dynamic. Voice three is truly the pièce de résistance with its 13-pin synth access capability that allows tracking and performance with compatible synth devices like the Roland GR-Series. If that’s not enough, each of these voices can be not only isolated but combined in a variety of ways, most notably combining voices one and two into one signal with a simple patch cable, or individually outputting them to their own amps for masterful and widespread sonic presence. Or simply enough, just control all three through the 13-pin output. Placed in a silver leaf maple body, finished in a variety of gorgeous high gloss tops over figured maple veneers (or a highly-figured natural koa top) and paired with a comfortable mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard, this guitar has more features than a beach has sand and brings about similar bliss.
