The Godin ACS has quickly become the acoustic-electric guitar of choice for the discerning fingerstyle player and composer. However, the sound of the ACS works well in many different music styles. The top on an ACS guitar is a bit thicker then its Multiac Nylon counterpart. This gives the ACS a much more fundamental tone without excessive overtones and produces a sound that's very clean and true with a great percussive nature and tight focused bass. The neck is a medium thickness oval shape with a very comfortable contour and a 1 7/8” nut width. Those looking for a slimmer electric guitar style neck should look at the ACS-SA Slim model which features a narrower nut width. The RMC system is considered the best on the market for tracking speed and accuracy when connected with a compatible synth. This is "B-Stock" instrument. (Please read below about B Stock). This is a B-Stock or factory blemished guitar. It is not a return or refurbished instrument and it is not used. Almost without exception the blemishes we see from Godin are nearly imperceptible in the form of minor hazing or scuffing of the finish. The ACS blends classical guitar concepts with elements of solid body design. The incredibly comfortable neck from the Multiac Nylon is used here with a Maple body to achieve our most affordable synth access guitar ever. Although the body is chambered, response from the maple top is more typical of a solid body design than that of a traditional acoustic guitar. This design results in an instrument that is virtually free of feedback, making it easy to use even when the band gets loud.
The engine in both the ACS-SA & ACS-SA Slim includes individual transducer saddles powered by a customized preamp system from the RMCTM Pickup Company. This system not only produces superb amplified sound, but also produces a hexaphonic output through a 13-pin connector enabling direct access to RolandTM GR-Series guitar synthesizers.
