Just like the Doves of the early '60s, this Dove Original features a large square-shoulder dreadnought body, giving it ample power, projection, and a delightful touch of warmth. Its flame maple back and sides and long scale produce a crisp, bold tonality, while its Sitka spruce top layers in top-end chime. It doesn't just sound great, though - players will love the Dove original's Round mahogany neck that provides its voice with plenty of sustain and feels exceptionally comfortable when playing big, grandiose chorded passages.
For musicians who find themselves playing in louder performance settings, the Dove Original comes equipped with an LR Baggs VTC under-saddle pickup that allows for amplified use. Just plug into your favorite amplifier, adjust your sound using the soundhole mounted Volume and Tone controls, and you'll be pleasantly surprised with how natural and woody the Dove Original sounds, even when pushed to its limits.
