This is the incredibly special Gibson Custom Shop '57 Les Paul Goldtop. It showcases Gibson Custom Shop's stunning attention to detail in recreating one of the most iconic guitars of all time. The solid mahogany neck is incredibly comfortable with its Chunky C-Shape profile and slightly thinner 1.687" nut width, both of which allow you to effortlessly move up and down the neck, yet have a full-in-hand feel when chording. It is also adhered with hide glue, which provides superior resonance and sustain that gives you a profound sense of satisfaction every time you strike a chord or a single note. The non-weight-relieved body has a substantial feel, yet isn't overly heavy and transfers energy beautifully. The Custombucker Alnico III pickups are quite a bit richer than what you can find in most other Les Pauls and the pointers on the gold top hat knobs let you know exactly how you are dialing in your sound. The overall aesthetic is perfect, with a Dark Back and Double Gold finish. If you're looking for a true vintage '57 top but don't have an extra $150K lying around, then this Gibson Custom Shop version is the right choice.
