Gibson Custom Shop has done it again with the Historic 1960 Les Paul Standard VOS. It is built from the highest quality of wood and hardware available, while staying true to its early-sixites roots. This vintage authenticity is paramount to the guitar's design, with several classic appointments that make it feel undeniably like a true 1960 Les Paul Standard. This dedication to vintage is seen most through its hide-glue construction, '60s "Slim C" shaped neck, and several pieces of hardware. These include an original-spec truss rod, Kluson tuners, and '60s-style long tenon neck joint. Its tone is something to behold as well, thanks to this LP's fantastic Custombucker III humbucking pickups. They are designed to accurately recreate classic Les Paul tone, with vintage CTS pots and Bumblebee capacitors that help give it that unmistakable vintage character. And with a nitrocellulose Washed Cherry Sunburst finish, this guitar's wood breathes and gives an excellent in-hand feel, while showing off a gorgeously figured two-piece maple top. This guitar truly exudes quality and vintage accuracy in every facet of its design by the master builders at Gibson's Custom Shop.
