Description
Fender's Jim Root Jazzmaster features a stripped-down appearance, scorching humbucking tone, and the most simplified set of controls ever in a Jazzmaster. Built to the Slipknot / Stone Sour guitarist's specs, this Jazzmaster is devoid of the original's complicated controls, replacing them with a single control knob and three-way selector switch. Tonally, this Jazzmaster is possibly the hottest created, with an EMG60 in the neck and an EMG81 in the bridge, making it especially suited for heavier styles. The Jim Root Jazzmaster also features a dark aesthetic that falls in line with its metal-influenced tone, exemplified by black tuners, pickup bezels, and unmarked ebony fretboard. Playability is also a cornerstone of the Jim Root Jazzmaster's design. The neck is incredibly comfortable thanks to a compound-radius 12" to 16" ebony fingerboard, which makes high-fret playing and bending easy while retaining plenty of stability and comfort for chords. With its barebones charm and excellent playing feel, this Jazzmaster will leave you in awe.
