Unlike most Jazzmasters, this model features a mahogany body that delivers a rich, full sound with deep lows, punchy mids, and excellent sustain. Its '60s "C" shaped maple neck has a nice, vintage feel, and its ebony fingerboard and narrow tall frets play exceptionally well. Fender also equipped this Jazzmaster with a mustang-style bridge and a Bigsby B50 Vibrato, giving it plenty of vibrato potential for surf-rock tunes.
Of course, it wouldn't be called a Gold Foil Jazzmaster if it weren't equipped with a trio of gold foil mini-humbuckers. These pickups have an unbelievable vintage sound - they're chimey, raw, and highly responsive to changes in picking hand attack.
