Inspired by his four favorite Stratocaster models - the '63 through the '66 - the Fender Custom Shop Johnny A. Strat is an incredible guitar with a classic sound and feel. Its two-piece select alder body gives it a spankin' tone with a bright attack and exceptional sustain, while its 3A Birdseye Maple neck sports a remarkably comfortable '65 "C" profile. And thanks to its 7.25" radius round-lam 3A rosewood fingerboard and 21 medium jumbo frets, it has a slightly more old-school feel, making it a joy to riff on.
Powering the Custom Shop Johnny A. Strat is a trio of premium single-coil pickups that deliver an outstanding array of vintage Strat tones. The hand-wound 11/56 pickups in the neck and middle position churn out a stellar chime that's clear and articulate, with tight lows and sparkling highs. Meanwhile, the custom special design bridge pickup projects a livelier, more open sound that's excellent for soloing. All connected to Strat Blender wiring with Tone-Saver bleed circuitry, this Fender has a phenomenal sound that's great for any style or setting.
