Description
Fender Custom Shop's 1961 Telecaster Relic features all the hallmarks of a vintage '61 Tele. Its Relic finish package delivers the look of a well-loved, played-in 1961 Telecaster, with all the dings, dents, and scratches you would expect on an original. However, the guitar's Aged Blue Sparkle finish is easily its most distinguishable feature, with an aged blue aesthetic that perfectly complements the guitar's classic tone, plus a matching Aged Blue Sparkle headstock. The 1961 Telecaster Relic features the time-honored single-coil twang of a vintage Telecaster as well, thanks to a pair of hand-wound Texas Special Tele pickups, delivering vintage tonal authenticity with a bit of extra output for the modern player. The guitar also brings fantastic playability and authentic in-hand aura, with a 9.5" radius AAA rosewood fingerboard over a roasted quarter sawn maple neck with a '60s Style Oval "C" profile. Plus, it has a lightweight feel, at just under eight pounds, thanks to an Alder body that was specifically sorted for light weight. Includes Fender Custom Shop hardshell case in Brown.
